We all hear Nvidia turn on the million doable uses for its Tegra CPU, varying from media players to cars, but we in fact weren't expectant to observe it in a fridge magnet.

IDC has released the Vega, a 15.6-inch Android in-home touchscreen with a few somewhat remarkable connectivity options. It's based around Nvidia's Tegra processor with 512MB of RAM as well as 512MB of NAND. The resistive touchscreen features a resolution of 1366x768 which should be ample for this type of device.

For storage the Vega depends on Micro SD memory cards, which is fairly strange, as it has ample of space for a suitable SDHC slot. There's too a USB 2.0 slot, a 1.3MP webcam, accelerometer with a magnetic dock. In terms of connectivity, Vega presents 802.11 b/g wirelesses, with Bluetooth 2.1, 2G as well as 3G.

The design looks appealing pleasant, as well as at just 16mm, the Vega is as slim as a cell phone and at less than 1.3kg it's not too weighty, also. Sadly we still don't know the precise price.
