In late November, Asus will be organizing a contest overclocking at DreamHack with some of the world's best overclockers in the City University. As previously reported, we at the event and hopefully the impressive results we are likely to receive. But now, ASUS has revealed that in addition to heavy overclocking results also will show off a new product, a P55-based motherboard that will be used in actual races.

ASUS Maximus Extreme III has not surprisingly put the focus on the overclocking and enthusiast users with a variety of interesting features. Intel's P55 chipset provides support for the new LGA1156 processor and the specification list, we had access to the card certainly seems to be something beyond the ordinary.

ASUS has been seen to develop an entirely new volt adapter that comes with not less than 11 digital PWM phases. As described by the manufacturer it will combine the best of the digital and analog design. At the same time, ASUS has developed ROG Connect so that you can now overclock their computer over bluetooth, in other words, now requires only a Bluetooth-capable mobile phone to increase frequencies on the processor. Maybe not so useful, but certainly pretty cool.

The card has another unique feature in its LN2 Fashion Header jumper which, when activated, optimize card performance by cooling with liquid nitrogen. Jumper said to deceive the processor's internal temp diode and in this way reduce the problems with the well-known cold-bug problem.

In addition to running the CPU has Maximus Extreme III all 5 pieces PCI Express x16 slot which means support for including Quad SLI at x8 bandwidth for each card, or SLI at full x16 bandwidth to each card.

Other goodies in the specification list is support for SATA 6GB / s, USB 3.0 and a 10-channel HD audio chip.

ASUS Maximus Extreme III will be one of the manufacturer's new top models but the exact price is yet unclear. More information teaches us get in two weeks when the official launch takes place.
