The British company DCI (Innovative Converged Devices) has unveiled its tablet Vega. The aircraft had caused a little buzz a few days ago. He had indeed been sighted at a conference in Dubai NVIDIA. The chameleon CEO Jen-Hsun Huang, who launched into a long speech pro-Apple. He needed no more to rumors about the device begin to emerge.

Vega is a tablet measuring 373 x 256 x 16 mm to just under 1.3 kilograms. Its 15-inch screen offers a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. It is however rather limited, only 262 000 colors, and resistive touch technology is apparently not multitouch, since this is not specified. Found inside a SoC (System-on-Chip) NVIDIA Tegra. 512 MB RAM and 512 MB of flash memory accompany this processor. Storage can be expanded with a MicroSD card reader (32 GB maximum) and a USB port.

Connectivity is comprehensive with Bluetooth 2.1, WiFi g and an optional 3G modem. We also find a 1.3 megapixel camera, two microphones and loudspeakers. Note the presence of an accelerometer and an ambient light sensor. The 11 AH battery promises a range of 4 hours. It will charge in two hours via the provided magnetic base.

This machine runs on Android 2.0, the operating system from Google. It will be presented in more detail at CES in Las Vegas in January. DCI expects to sell its shelf mobile operators. The British firm did not disclose the price of its novelty, we know that variations of 7 and 11 inches will also be proposed.
