While AMD spends his money on DirectX 11 and multi-screen technology Eyefinity rival Nvidia has put emphasis on a different technology, namely 3D. Manufacturer 3D Vision Technology to using special screens and related glasses give a true 3D feel, much like the one now used on Swedish cinemas around the country. The technique has previously been mostly focused on the desktop market, will now also be heading out on the laptop market, says Nvidia in a statement.
First out of the market is ASUS with his laptop G51J 3D. Whose 120Hz LCD screen can both offer high-quality 2D images while with Nvidia's 3D Vision Goggles also should suck the user in a reliable 3-D environment.
ASUS G51J 3D will appear on the market in December and then we'll see how well the technology works in a portable format.
