As for the P55 chipset, Intel has announced the imminent arrival of a new revision to its mobile chipset PM55. Currently in revision B2, PM55 should happen in the near future for revision B3.

BIOS update

If this revision B3 requires no hardware changes at the motherboard, an updated BIOS is however necessary. We note in passing that, as the P55 chipset, Intel recommends installing with the new B3 revision of the PM55 Intel storage driver RST (Rapid Storage Technology) 9.5 to replace the old driver MSM (Matrix Storage Manager) 8.9.

The first deliveries of this new revision is scheduled for December 7 this year, manufacturers have until February 16, 2010 to test their products with the PM55 "B3".
