NOVAC launches two exciting new products since the firm Nippon offers on its land a new box for external Serial ATA hard drives formatted 2 ½ inches. The latter adopts a triple connector, USB 2.0, eSATA and self-powered eSATA or eSATA Power. This interface was a little moment of glory a few months ago with the launch of many flash drives in this format.

These large "keys eSATA" took advantage of the higher speed of eSATA for display performance far superior to what we could find with USB 2.0. The arrival of SuperSpeed USB controller or USB 3.0 removes the need however to use the eSATA. It will probably await the arrival of devices capable of saturating the USB 3.0 and eSATA controllers to 6 Gb / s for that history repeats itself.

Anyway, we appreciate the availability now of an external hard drive performance intact and not clamped. NOVAC offers his box at 2980 yen, or about 26 euros all taxes included. The Japanese manufacturer has also unveiled a controller card with an eSATA port self-powered.
