It is now some weeks since most motherboard manufacturers have launched new solutions that support the Intel Serial ATA to 6 Gb / s and the SuperSpeed USB or USB 3.0. No AMD motherboard with the new interface was then visible in the distance. The situation is now corrected, since it has learned of three new motherboards at Gigabyte Socket AM3 well with the SATA 6 Gb / s and USB 3.0.
The GA-790FXTA-DU5 is designed around the AMD790FX chipset, the GA-790XTA-UD4 around AMD790X and GA-770TA-UD3 has a AMD770. These maps will take place in the series 333 Taiwanese manufacturer, which already includes maps of Intel P55 and X58. We therefore find their PCB chip for Marvell SATA 6 Gb / s and the NEC chip for USB 3.0.
The three new cards feature a power system 8 2 phases for the CPU, so they are compatible with the Phenom II TDP of 140 watts. They obviously support DDR3. The high-end solution, GA-790FXTA-DU5, has three PCI Express x16 (wired in x16, x8, x8), three PCI and one PCIe x1. Eight SATA ports are visible, two of which are at 6 Gb / s, and two eSATA Combo USB for power. Two Gigabit LAN links are also present.
Logically this motherboard premium may have a tariff rather salty, but the GA-770TA-UD3 could be one of the most affordable solutions available for the USB 3.0 and SATA 6 Gb / s.
