Inno3D has unveiled a new graphics card into its range i-Chill. This is the latest GeForce 240 GT NVIDIA passing under the knife and is now equipped with a heat sink XStriker3. We discovered a sink with two heat pipes and a long extruded aluminum base to form fins while a 70 mm fan exhausts hot air through this one guard. It will run at 2800 revolutions per minute, and will not exceed the 28.5 decibels. The cover features the two openings on each side of the fan, to let in fresh air. Inno3D claims that its solution is much more efficient than heatpipe reference.
The manufacturer has not just changed it, the GeForce 240 GT i-Chill also adopts new high quality capacitors. The GT215 supports DirectX 10.1 (Shader Model 4.1) and NVIDIA PureVideo HD technology, 3D Vision, PhysX etc. This chip loads 96 stream processors and communicates with the 512 or 1024 MB of memory via a bus 128 bit. The frequencies are 600 MHz for core and 900 MHz memory, a slight overclock on the original rates (550/850 MHz). This graphics card provides DVI, VGA and HDMI. Inno3D indicates that its new GeForce 240 GT i-Chill will cost around 100 euros and will be available soon.
