There are two broad categories of solid-state market. The manufacturers who are taking chances by jumping on the very latest technology, with mixed results, and those who are quieter in the boat and let others handle the heavy lifting while the market is catching up. Kingston already has a large presence in the SSD market, but in terms of the new 6Gbps SATA storage interfaces and USB 3.0 is still only a bit hesitant. Like Western Digital Kingston spoke about the demand and sales volumes, before the new standards are more prevalent in the market, the manufacturer does not release products based on technology.

It noted that the usual solid-state solutions today will not make much use of SATA 6Gbps interface and that we may see a greater dispersal of 6Gbps capable SATA SSD drives at the end of 2010.

USB 3.0 gives you a bit more hope, and especially in combination with rapping solid-state devices that can provide extremely fast external storage solutions. But it currently has no products to show up with the interface and also here waiting for a major expansion of the format on the PC platform.

We sincerely hope that motherboard manufacturers are taking their responsibilities and provides its products with the support of the new technologies, now that chipset manufacturers themselves do not seem to have special (1, 2) in a hurry.
