It has long talked about a new flagship of Intel's Core 2 Duo family and now we have seen the first Core 2 Duo E8700 processor out there in the wild. The processor that comes with two CPU cores clocked at 3.5 GHz has been listed on Intel's website for a long time and this information can we read that it is the manufacturer's Wolfdale core that accounts for the computational power. Despite its high clock speed of E8700 is working under a TDP of 65W-value, a feat not managed if we found more than two cores in Heatspreader.
Exactly what Intel has plans for its new Core 2 Duo model is still unclear. Especially when the forum thread on Xtreme Systems, where images of the processor first appeared in now seems to have disappeared. The processor was sent from a manufacturing plant in Malaysia in what appears to be a misunderstanding. That Intel will launch a E8700 Model sensitivity fairly obvious, but the question is only when one really imagined the official launch. With Clarksdale around the corner, we have a sense of resurrection on E8700 will hardly be surprising.
