Expert on the Linux operating system Glyn Moody (Glyn Moody) believes that Google is fully capable to start giving away free computers. The author of the famous book "Rebel Code: Linux and the Open Source Revolution" says that the Chrome OS, initially free and installed on netbooks, may be used by Google for an advertising move. Moody said that because the software open source software cost is close to zero, and if people will use netbooks, the total cost of the device will be very small.

If all applications will be Web-based applications, the netbook will not need a hard drive, and can even be dispensed from a large memory. Moody believes that Google will be able to create a netbook and get a profit at the expense of additional revenues from advertising. He points out that Google recently bought the company Teracent, which deals with display advertising on the Internet, which means that the new netbooks will send individual messages in real time.

If Google gets its way and will be able to market a virtually free netbooks, something most other companies will follow the example of Google, and then will come the Great Age of Chrome, but Google revenues rise even higher.
