Security researcher Mikko Hypponen of F-Secure recently had his Twitter account suspended and all prior tweets deleted without warning because the site thought his malware warnings were actual links to Trojan-infested sites. Hypponen's account, which had thousands of followers, contained regular updates about his discoveries and general security-related events. The tweet flagged asmalicious was a warning against a MySpace phishing site which was attracting attention at the time rnyspece site Despite having been sent in August, the account was suspended in early October. The account was restored, but all followers were deleted for unexplained reasons, according to Hypponen.
