In an unsurprising move, Nvidia has announced it is ceasing research and development work for Intel CPUs due to an ongoing dispute about whether Intel can block them from selling chipsets for current-gen Nehalem CPUs with integrated memory controllers. That leaves only Atom and older Core/Pentium CPUs eligible. Nvidia also clarified that its plans to release the ION 2 chipset with improved graphics for Atom CPUs, remain on track for the end of this year.
