A survey shows that users from Windows Vista are generally more satisfied with Windows 7 than those with updated since XP.
The XP clients are more difficult
Overall, the report shows that the first consumers to choose 7 are satisfied while 70% said they were "extremely satisfied" and 24% say they are "somewhat satisfied". However, according to survey results 61% of consumers who liked XP are "extremely satisfied" against 79% for those who have left Vista.
Vista is more easily neglected
Analysts said these figures are explained by the fact that many consumers are still very happy with XP and are therefore critical that users of Vista that were more easily seduced. This was also reflected in the fact that only 61% of those from XP said they were certain they would not return to their old OS while 86% of people belonging to the group gave the Vista same answer.
This study therefore shows that Microsoft has succeeded and that Windows 7 seduces. It also shows that Vista has disappointed more of a consumer and a change was very important.
