Acer is planning to use in their netbook operating system Google Chrome OS. Above this task producer runs from mid-2009, and tentatively in the second half of 2010 should be available Acer netbooks on the basis of the new mobile operating system.

President / CEO, Acer Dzh.T.Van (JT Wang) in an interview expressed his confidence that the company will become the first manufacturer to officially release a netbook with Chrome OS.

Acer was the first manufacturer that provided netbook based on Google Android. While the demand for the model was not as strong as expected, this experience has not dampened the desire to develop Acer netbooks with operating systems, not created by Microsoft.
