A few years ago there was a relatively large market for so-called compressor cooling systems. Compared with cooling and water cooling, it was obviously a vanishing small market, but it was there still, and several manufacturers developed their own products. The market for compressor cooling is more or less died out after both air and water cooling techniques become increasingly sophisticated. However, OCZ Technology has indeed its Cryo-Z solution on the market and this has now been made available in the Internet shop.
OCZ Cryo-Z is able to maintain a temperature of -45 to -50 degrees Celsius on the CPU block and the support from the factory AM3 and 775 platform. But FrozenCPU has also developed its own mounting kit that allows cooler also fits the LGA1366 and LGA1156 platforms.
