In a joint press release, Microsoft and Yahoo have both endorsed the ten-year agreement they announced last July. A final agreement should have been initialed by the two giants last October 27, but had postponed the signature of a few weeks to allow time to clarify some points.

"Microsoft and Yahoo believe that this agreement will lead to a durable and attractive alternative in the Internet search, which will provide better value to consumers, advertisers and publishers" can be read. Rest now in the European Commission to validate this agreement which is expected in the coming weeks according to the first question.
