Fusion Garage has showcased its adaptation of Michael Arrington's terminated CrunchPad.
"The loss of [this device] has been really overstated," Fusion Garage CEO Chandrasekar "Chandra" Rathakrishnan informed reporters through a web discussion.
According to Chandra, the upgrading $500 JooJoo is competent of booting up in right now 9 seconds.
"The Internet is the program for the device. It is the foremost to boot in 9 seconds. Not 2 minutes, not 30 seconds, but a 9 second boot time. JooJoo truly comes close [to achieving] instant on."
Chandra clarifies that the device will mark a 12.1 inch touchscreen competent of showing wealthy Internet content along with streaming HD video.
"The JooJoo has no physical buttons apart from for a [single] on/off switch," alleged Chandra.
"The whole thing on this ultra-portable device is finished by touch. It is assembled from the ground up as well as presents an innovative UI without preloaded application. It offers support for slide gestures, scrolling, e-books, digital newspapers along with music [playback]."
Chandra also remarked on Arrington's estimated reply to Fusion's version of the CrunchPad.
"In spite of what has been written, no outfit or else legal case have been filed. We are very sure that we own the IP for JooJoo and will protect it. No contracts have been signed," claimed Chandra.
"Michael completed lots of promises that he would convey on many things, none of which came through. We have been effective with him for the last year and a half but had to move on. We [Fusion Garage] did the hardware, software as well as even searching...Michael did not accept our most recent offer to work together."
The JooJoo Internet tablet will be offered for trade online starting from December 11, 2009.
