MSI has just introduced a new ultra-thin laptop, the X600 Pro. This machine measures 39.2 x 25.5 x 2.5 cm and a weight of 2.1 kilograms. We reached the limits of this concept, with a machine that is far more conventional models. The new MSI has a 15.6 inch display (1366x768 pixels) and adopt a Core 2 Duo Culver. The GS45 chipset allows the machine to support up to 4GB of DDR2-800, while the graphics will be managed by an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4330. The audio is not lagging behind as many as four speakers are present in the chassis.

The storage will be managed by a hard disk SATA 2.5-inch (250, 320, 500 or 640 GB) and a DVD Super-Multi (or a combo Blu-ray) and a memory card reader 2 in 1. The connectivity of the X600 Pro is complete with gigabit LAN, WiFi N and Bluetooth / WiMAX option. The new X-Slim also include a 1.3 megapixel webcam, port eSATA with power, and an HDMI port. It comes by default with a 6-cell battery, while a 9-cell model is offered as an option, with a range announced in 9 hours.

This new model is then comb the X-Slim but we believe it represents the limits of the concept except as thickness, all the physical characteristics closer to a traditional laptop. It is also a good point, since the component that loads offer considerably more power than a platform CULVER "basic". The two traditional colors are offered: black and white (with black frame around the screen). MSI France could not give us information about availability and rates for this X600 Pro today.
