Scythe has now announced a new revision of its giant heatpipe Mugen 2. This version B (SCMG-2100) has a mounting kit unpublished supporting the new Intel socket LGA 1156 and the LGA 775, LGA 1366 and AMD S754, S939, AM2 (+) and AM3.

The architecture of Mugen remains unchanged, we find the design kind of massive MAPS which made its success, with five copper heat pipes, bent U evacuating heat from the base in contact with the CPU, to a large number of fins aluminum. A 120mm fan is provided by Scythe; it will operate at 1,400 revolutions per minute, and will not exceed the 26.5 decibels sound emission.
