Video Cards supporting DirectX 11 are already actively selling, super-fast SSD coming up, and fast DDR3-memory is cheaper than ever. For enthusiasts the next big event will be the release of new six-core Intel processors, codenamed Gulftown. It is expected that these processors will appear in early 2010, probably at CES next month. The new processor will be placed on 32nm process technology, will actually be a six-core version of Bloomfield, will support Hyper Threading and have 12Mb cache L3.Theoretically, this processor will be able to handle up to 12 independent data streams simultaneously, which would make this processor the most powerful option for enthusiasts.

The network has long been rumored that the new processor Gulftown will support socket LGA1366, that is, it can be used on existing motherboards with chipset X58.Asus company confirmed this information and reported that many of the Asus motherboards will provide support for processors Gulftown after "comprehensive update BIOS".
