The manufacturer Asustek (better known under its brand name Asus) on Friday took a decision to restructure them in a similar way as AMD have done before. It has therefore decided to sell its now wholly-owned subsidiary pegatron Technology alone accounts for the production of Asustek and other companies' products.
Why do we then separate the manufacturing and development of two different companies? ASUSTeK In case this is primarily not to compete with themselves. Asus began as we know only as a motherboard manufacturer, and it makes very motherboards on behalf of other large computer manufacturers such as HP, Dell and others.
Now that Asustek has developed his business idea to also do their own computers, it began with the highly successful Eee series, has other business interests to order hardware from them reduced. It has been anxious to give Asus a competitive advantage in that they carried orders to gain an insight into how other companies in the market will act.
In addition, it's not favoring a direct competitor by buying from him. When you now separates the pure manufacturing part of a separate company that only 25% owned by Asustek, then you want have the effect of an order from the new company pegatron Technology poses the same conditions as in pure manufacturing firms as the main competitor Foxconn.
The change should not affect the brand Asus for us consumers but may give the company Asustek an even brighter future.
