Microsoft recently announced that it repurchased Opalis Software, a Canadian publisher specializing in software development management for data centers. The various tools marketed by Opalis allow such actions to automate certain recurring and therefore reduce human error.

The acquisition will allow Microsoft to expand its System Center suite, Opalis solutions (Integration Server) to be integrated during 2010 at its own product range of system administration. The amount of the transaction has however not been reported.
