After Packard Bell, it is time for Fujitsu to recall notebook PC batteries. An epidemic? Without quoting the offending manufacturer of batteries (like Packard Bell), Fujitsu replaces obviously free devices with defective components. According to the firm, this recall is a result of user complaints to overheating, may - eventually - lead to a burning battery. The machines affected are Amilo Pa 2510 (AMD based) and Pi 2515 and 2512 (using Intel processors). The models built and sold between April 2007 and June 2009 is likely to be affected by the problem and a dedicated page on the site allows Fujitsu to make the change.
Note that Fujitsu recommends disconnecting the battery until the new model. In fact, it is the second recall announced in a few days and we really hope it is a coincidence as a reminder that performed in 2006 by Sony is still problematic.
