Toshiba has announced the development of its first module of NAND flash memory of 64 GB, conceived by combining 16 chips of 32 Gbits etched into 32 nm and a dedicated controller. PDB format, the module measures 14 x 18 x 1.4 mm and meets the standard e-MMC 4.4. It is designed for smartphones, mobile phones, netbooks and other digital camcorders.

Toshiba Announces speeds around 37 MB / s read and 20MB / s write. The first copies came off the factory of manufacturer, but mass production should start during the first quarter of 2010. Modules of 32 GB, 16 GB, 8 GB, 4 GB and 2 GB should also be created next year.
