Intel Company reported its partners that it wants to release in the fourth quarter of 2010 SSD the next generation. Manufacturer names new drives Postville Refresh and said that they will be produced on thinner 34nm process technology.

If all goes according to plan, Intel will release these drives under the name X-25 M, their capacity will be up to 600Gb. These discs should replace the 34nm drives Postville, sold now and reaching capacity 160GB. In the family of Postville Refresh scheduled for release on cheap SSD 80GB models priced up to 600 GB drives. These drives will be released on 2xnm process technology, probably on 28nm, but so far data on the process technology reliably known.

Intel does not disclose any further information on these disks, but we can assume that they will be very fast.
