In recent years, fully equipped motherboards all that often cropped up in even smaller packages. With Intel's integrated Clarksdale processors are interest greater than ever and more manufacturer’s radar now up micro-ATX based motherboards. We have already presented models from manufacturers Biostar and MSI but now it has cropped up pictures and specifications from a handful of other cards. From the heavy name ASUS, Gigabyte and ASRock.
ASUS is expected to bid on an entire army of motherboard models based on Intel's H55 and H57 control circuits where more of them will be delivered in micro-ATX format. Two of these are ASUS P7H55-M Pro, which in addition to support for 32nm processors will also be four DDR3 memory slots, one PCIe x16 slot, 12 USB 2.0 ports and both digital and analog video outputs.
Gigabyte GA-H57-USB3 then is a slightly well-equipped model with dual PCIe x16 slots and USB 3.0 support allows further opportunities. Other nice features are an 8-channel audio chip, eSATA outputs and three digital, DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort. The card also has Gigabyte's Ultra Durable 3 design with additional copper layers for better overclocking potential.
ASRock has several cards on the way to Clarksdale, and at least two of these in mATX format. ASRock H55M and H55M Pro where the former board has four DDR3 memory slots, more SATA ports and Firewire support, something the slightly smaller model cannot offer. Both cards have otherwise dual PCIe x16 slots, eSATA ports and 8-channel audio circuits.
More information about the cards we get to get in early next year when Clarksdale family of chipsets arrives on the market.
