Here's a speedy tip for those who like to find the open documents using the keyboard. In several OS X applications, with TextEdit, pressing Page Up as well as Page Down doesn’t in fact shift your cursor place in a document. Instead, they shift only the view. So if you click on the initial line up of a TextEdit file, after that press Page Down three times, plus after that type something, the window will jump back to the first line, and that's where your typing will become visible.
To shift the cursor place with the view point, press as well as hold Option before pressing Page Up or else Page Down. This will shift the cursor into the line in the center of every screen as the display moves up or else down a screenful at a moment. At the present when you start typing, the typing will become visible on that center line of the present screen, instead of on the last line you happened to click.
This trick does not work in all program, although, so you'll have to test to locate those where it does.
