Dell officially announced its Inspiron Mini 10 next-generation, adopting the platform launched by Intel Pinetrail yesterday. It appears a little more massive than its predecessor, but for good cause, as was discovered in a video by Intel, this netbook has no fan. It should be totally silent. Its 10.1-inch screen can take a classic slab of 1024 x 600 pixels, but also a high resolution model at 1366 x 768 pixels. Dell also treats sound with speakers SRS Surround. A chip Broadcom Crystal HD will help the Atom to decode HD streams, also includes Dell's netbook in HDTV tuner.
Connectivity includes 10/100 Ethernet and WiFi G with integrated GPS. Inside the (small) animal, an Atom N450 1.66 GHz (with GMA 3150), 1 GB DDR2-800 and a disk drive 160 or 250 GB battery, Dell will offer a basic version 3 cells with an optional 6-cell, which pushes self to 9 ½ hours. The U.S. manufacturer will leave as free-choice side of the operating system, Windows 7 Starter, XP or Ubuntu. The Inspiron Mini 10 does not exceed 1.37 kilograms, will be launched in the coming weeks, at a rate unknown at present.
