The configurations of Acer remain classics
Incorporating all of ultra low power processors to reduce the power required, but also alleviate the machine, the timeline 8471 and 8371 are all below 2 kg.
The 8371 has a 13.3-inch WXGA screen (1 280 x 720), against a screen 14 inches in the same resolution for 8471.The configurations of the first family starting with a Core 2 Solo SU3500, an IGP GMA 4500MHD, 3GB of DDR3 and a 250 GB hard drive, all for 525 € HT and amounted to a Core 2 Duo SU9400, 4GB DDR3 and a hard disk of 500 GB for 849 € exc.
The family Timeline 8471 is more restricted and closely resembles that of 8371. The basic configuration is identical, except for the diagonal of the screen that adds 20 € HT at the price of the machine. For cons, the maximum configuration incorporates a 320 GB hard drive, but also has the Core 2 Duo SU9400 and 4 GB of DDR3. Acer sells for 799 €. The 8571 is configured as 8471. The only difference between the two is that the screen is 15.6 inches for a similar resolution. Prices for 8571 are also identical to 8471.
An announcement strong sense: 13 inches will be king in 2010
We therefore note that Acer has mainly relied on the 8371 family is the most diverse and best performing and it is no coincidence. At the dawn of this new decade, more and more players get up to declare the death of netbooks in favor of these machines ultraportable with a full keyboard and wide while providing a small and lightweight chassis. Acer therefore put on the computer that is closest to the netbook without having major defects. The 13-inch diagonal should be increasingly popular with businessmen wishing to travel light, but also the general public will continue to monitor its budget.
