Buffalo has unveiled what will surely be one of the last DSS 2009, the SHD-NSUH. At 2.5-inches, this flash drive takes an unusual form, since it takes the shape usually seen on the hard drives. Apart from this little hand "vintage" it sports a double connector, SATA 3 Gb / s and USB 2.0. It was probably dealing with a JMicron controller JMF612, it comes with 64MB of cache and 32, 64, 128 or 256 GB MLC NAND. The SHD-NSUH TRIM command supports Windows 7.
As usual with Buffalo products, a single speed, 186.6 Mb / s, is mentioned, it is likely to speed read sequentially. Models 64 and 128 GB will be available later this week (in Japan) cons about 300 and 500 € TTC while both 32 and 256 GB are planned for January, with retail prices of € 200 and € 925 Taxes. These are very high rates for SSD after all quite classic!
