SuperSpeed USB 3.0 offers the highest theoretical throughput of today's mechanical hard drives never got a chance to use the interface's full potential. Flash-based storage is therefore becoming more pressing, something now A-DATA took on with its N002 Combo Flash Drive. This device is actually an external solid-state device that is fitted with both USB 3.0 and SATA II border of both its internal and external file transfer.
With an 8-channel solid-state controls present A-DATA N002 write speeds of up to 170MB / s as well as read speeds of approximately 200MB / s. Speeds that the device is in theory be competent to acquire any interface. And it is presented in 64GB, 128GB and 256GB storage capacity.
Pricing and availability is still somewhat unclear, but we expect to see more similar solutions in 2010 that'll be another "SSD-year".
