LCD monitors with LED backlight is increasingly common and now says new evidence that we have this year will see the technology become something of a standard in the market. LED backlight makes it possible to produce thinner and more energy-efficient monitors, while the contrast ratio is better with LED technology. Among laptops, technology is well advanced, where lack of space pushed the LED technology faster than elsewhere.

Already in 2010 is expected 60-70 percent of all notebooks shipped with LED-backlit LCD displays. As the supply of LED-backlit LCD panels is expected to increase this year, including ordinary monitors benefit more from technology.
