It was discovered the company ioSafe in the short video about their hard drive reinforced published by our colleagues at PC World U.S. Today, the California Company unveils Solo SSD, based on the same concept. It may thus suffer a fire at 850 degrees Celsius for half an hour, be submerged under 30 feet of water for 30 days, but dropped from a height of 20 feet, withstand a shock of 1000g or undergo a pressure of 2270 kilograms.

All this is made possible through the new ArmorPlate, a steel plate that surrounds the flash disk. This solution will connect to external eSATA, and provide capacity of 64, 128 and 256 GB ioSafe announced actual availability for next February. As for the recommended tariffs, count on 415 € TTC for 64 GB, 620 € including VAT for 128GB and 1035 € TTC for 256 GB.
