Micron recently announced an SSD that will be compatible with the standard S-ATA 6 Gbps, the RealSSD C300. It was announced for 355 MB / s read and 215MB / s write. Inside we found chips MLC Nand Flash IM Flash (joint venture between Micron and Intel) etched in 34-nanometer, 256 MB of cache and a controller developed with Marvell. It is expected in version 256 and 128 GB SSD While this should be reflected in the commercre under the Crucial brand, as the SSD M225 is an engineering sample Micron as we stumbled at CES.
The label is somewhat surprising since one can read "256GB SATA 3Gb / s' just below its reference Real SSD C300. Yet the label of the other side does mention 6 Gb / s. Anyway, the first samples are available and it was confirmed that the mass production began to be available sometime in February or early March.
