It's not every day we see a manufacturer to launch a memory kit and a solid-state device with more or less equivalent storage capacity. But that is exactly what Kingston is now done by letting loose an impressive 24GB of DDR3 memory kit for Intel Core i7 (LGA 1366) platform with six well-built 4GB modules. The corresponding kits for Core i5 (LGA 1156) provides a kit of 16GB with the same 1600MHz DDR3 memory modules.
The price at Kingston's 24GB memory skit is set to a neat 13 600 Swedish kronor, while the 16GB kit going to get away for nearly as sweaty 9 075 Swedish kronor.
While suits Kingston to launch a new model in SSDNowV series of solid-state devices. A new mins something with a storage capacity of 30GB as Kingston markets as a "boot drive" with support for Windows 7 TRIM and a price tag of over a thousand crowns.
The 2.5-inch drive has a rated read speed of 180MB / s and a write speed of 50MB / s. When Kingston's 40GB SSDNowV model costs about 900 kronor in Swedish stores, we can expect an even better price for this slightly smaller 30GB model.
