After many years of trying to impose on the market its own Memory Stick format, Sony has just (finally) announce the launch of Secure Digital memory cards. A model SD 2 GB, four SDHC (8 GB, 16 GB and 32 GB), a microSD card and two 2 GB microSDHC (4GB and 8GB) and make their appearance.
All these memory cards, except model 2 GB microSDHC, are Class 4, meaning that they show a minimum write speed of 4MB / s. We note in passing that the microSD card / SDHC come with an adapter SD. The rates range from 14.99 dollars for the 2GB model at 159.99 dollars for the 32GB SDHC.
