OCZ continues to steam on its solid-state devices and in addition to its new Sand Force-based Vertex 2-series has the CES also demonstrated new models of its PCI Express-based Z-Drive series. OCZs new top model, Z-Drive P88 looks to be something in to read and write speeds of 1.3 Gb / s respectively. 1.2 GB / s. The round tubing 65% more performance than their current Z-drive models. But this is not the only one that captures our interest.

OCZ Z-Drive P88 is upgradeable. The device makes use of several MLC-based NAND flash memory modules that are similar to conventional RAM memories are interchangeable. This makes it possible to not only replace damaged flash circuits, but also upgrade the memory chips to more efficient counterparts.

Four Indilinx solid-state controls are at peak performance and to power with the high transmission speeds using OCZ PCI Express x8 interface. When the Z-Drive P88 coming to market is unclear, but the sights are set on the professional market and with storage capacities of 512GB, 1TB respectively. 2TB, it is almost better that we do not know any prices yet.
