It is unlikely that any shock, but Nvidia said to have already planned dual-GPU graphics cards with its new graphics architecture Fermi. Fermi constructed as is well known in the 40 nanometer technology, but with over 3 billion transistors, it is still a powerful circuit and pressing the two of them on the same circuit board is not something you do in a snap.

Nvidia said to plan the two single-GPU models that replace the current GeForce GTX 260 and GTX 285 which will later be backed by high-end model with dual graphics chips, like Intel did with its launch of the Radeon 5970.

Fermi who also goes by the name GT300 will most likely be in stores in March and we can expect the launch of dual-GPU card 1-2 months after that. Now, if the information is correct to say.

But with Nvidia's previous experiences of dual-GPU cards, and their remarkably normal-sized GF100 card looks perfectly likely out.
