Creative Labs has taken the opportunity to reveal some details about a duo of newly developed sound card. By the information at CES in Las Vegas was pretty scant, but no images or product concept, but on paper we see that the old sound card giant invests in PCI Express and USB connected card. Sound Blaster X-Fi HD is meant to be used with both desktop and laptop computers and connected to the computer's USB port.

Your sound card will include an analog phono input for transferring analog audio sources, but there is lot of few additional inputs as well as outputs on the X-Fi HD in both analog with digital formats.

The device also supports Creative ALchemy for EAX technology support in Windows Vista and Windows 7, and shipped with audio-editing software called X-Fi HD Media Toolbox. The price of the card is estimated to be approximately SEK 900 when it is launched.

Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme HD is called Creative's new PCI Express-based soundcard apparently will use the second generation X-Fi audio processor, and will boast an SNR value of 122 dB. The sound card is also possible to upgrade as it uses a replaceable Op-amo amplifier. The card supports everything from EAX 5.0 to Dolby Digital and DTS playback. The card is equipped with RCA inputs and outputs, headphone output and digital TOSLINK inputs and outputs. Creative says that the Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme HD should be available now and with a price tag of close to 1900 crowns.
