Thread: The entry-level Radeon HD 5000 in pictures

AMD is expected to propose later this month, several new graphics cards. Today we discover the image in ATI Radeon HD 5450 Radeon HD 5550 and Radeon HD 5570. Known for some time under the codename Cedar chip team that these cards should be equipped with 200 stream processors. Memory GDDR3 or GDDR5 will be connected to the GPU via a bus of 64 bits wide.

The whole course will be well-suited with DirectX 11, but probably not with the technology ATI CrossFireX Eyefinity and, given the positioning of the input range of the solution. The Avivo HD should however make it very attractive in the design of a HTPC. It is Low Profile and has a very small heat sink. Video outputs DVI, DisplayPort and VGA are present, with the first two placed directly on the PCB. These solutions are likely to be sold around 50 euros when available...
