Toshiba offers a new docking station that will please the nomads who do want to have an efficient work space at home (or office). The station Dynadock V is indeed an interesting alternative to docking stations owners of professional models and its price of $ 120 is reasonable.
A USB cradle
The station works with USB 2.0 and provides, as output, a plethora of connectors: four USB 2.0 ports (one front, three rear), an Ethernet jack (100 Mbps), two audio outputs (output headphone and microphone) and finally a DVI output. Fueled by an external transformer, the station is able to supply power to devices even if a PC is not connected.
There remains the problem of performance: 480 Mbps for USB 2 / 0 are a little low for many peripherals and flows so far are theoretical. It will therefore not hope to copy data between two external hard drives listening to music and watching a movie played on the company network. But obviously someone does this kind of thing...
