Thread: Froyo is Android 3.0

Google has recently declared that he was working on a new version of Android, known for now as the Froyo for Frozen Yogurt (ice cream).

After Cupcakes, Donuts and Lightning, the search continues then the code names associated with desserts. It is not clear yet whether Google has plans to release a small update to Android 2.1 (which is part of Lightning) or Froyo be most important stage in the life of the operating system. Basically, Google reserves the codenames for the versions of the most important and we therefore expected for the moment that Froyo, the next release of Android, is stamped 3.0.
