VIA has officially presented its first solution Mobile-ITX EPIA-T700 ...

In early December, VIA launched the Mobile-ITX. Today Taiwan has unveiled a first solution adopting this new format motherboard, the EPIA-T700, which thus measures 6x6 inches. It includes Eden ULV processor clocked at 1 GHz, a VX820 chipset and an onboard Chrome9 graphics solution, compatible with DirectX 9. It includes the Chromotion an engine decoding video streams. Codec VIA Vinyl HD Audio support integrated meanwhile to 8 channels.

512MB of DDR2 are present on the PCB, along a line PCI Express and one IDE channel. The small module supports up to five USB 2.0 ports, as well as video outputs LVDS and DVI. The new VIA solution therefore offers features comparable to predictable computers, or almost, in a more compact format. It looks longer than the figures for performance and price to be convinced!
