LSI and Seagate just announced a partnership to facilitate the establishment of PCI-Express SSD for businesses.

LSI will provide its controllers and SAS PCI-Express ("LSI supports SATA 6 gigabits / s) while Seagate Technology will offer its SSD. For OEM products should be primarily for data centers and servers for virtualization. The first copies of tests from this agreement will be available during the second quarter of this year. One can imagine that the two companies will try to compete with the Fusion-io and other similar products, trying to break into the lucrative corporate market.
