Matrox has just presented its response to ATI Eyefinity: Multi-GXM...

Upon announcement of the ATI Eyefinity, several days before the ATI Radeon HD 5800 are launched; one could reasonably ask what would be the reaction of Matrox. The Canadian company has in fact almost all built on its multi-monitor technology to survive in recent years.

Now Matrox discloses its answer, amazingly, not a novel product. The Multi-GXM is certainly supported using a simple update of the Matrox driver. This technology lets to couple two modules DualHead2Go or else TripleHead2Go to include four or else six displays on a graphics card with the help of two video outputs. The only technical limitation is the incapability to combine a TripleHead2Go with DualHead2Go, or else a version with a digital analog version.

The support of game will clearly be incomplete, as it will include an extremely strong graphics power to feed as several pixels in the present games!
