Wind River has released a commercial version of Android optimised on the OMAP 3 platform. It's based on the latest versions of the Android SDK available with pre-integrated software from initial partners Adobe, PacketVideo and Red Bend Software, along with global support by Wind River.

It's available with the following building blocks: enhanced UI and personalisation options for common branding functions; extended framework and applications including master reset function, music player, performance and power management; dedicated Wind River global customer support and services; and optimisation for leading mobile hardware including TI's OMAP34x and OMAP36x platforms.
