The Hong Kong manufacturer Sapphire has four versions of ATI Radeon HD 5450...
Sapphire has used the launch of the ATI Radeon HD 5450 to offer four new solutions. These adapters take an original design, and for the better since the Hong Kong manufacturer has installed a single-slot heatsink instead of the dual-slot version used by AMD. Testing of this solution published by our colleagues indicate that the heat release is very reasonable. The four references Sapphire is designed around Cedar, with its 80 stream processors, a bus of 64 bits wide and its nominal frequency of 650 MHz. This GPU supports DirectX 11, and with technologies Eyefinity ATI, Avivo HD ... etc...
As for VGA video outputs, DVI and HDMI. The first declension Sapphire, least expensive, offer 512MB of DDR3 clocked at 800 MHz. spend the next two to 512/1024 MB of DDR3 1600 MHz, while the fourth and final version offers 512 MB DDR3, always at 1600 MHz and has a DisplayPort. So the only model that really supports the Eyefinity, other versions will require the purchase of an active adapter that will cost more than the card! Note also that the CrossFire "software" works great on this reference, without necessarily very logical to choose two Radeon HD 5450 instead of an HD 5670 for example. This is still a demonstration of the effectiveness of this technology. Recall that the ATI Radeon HD 5450 is sold between 40 and 50 euros on average.
