Intel will launch three Gulftown in all and for all...

The event processor in the year 2010, excluding CPUs with GPUs is the arrival of consumer processors to six hearts. AMD and Intel should submit their respective solutions in the coming weeks. In the latter, we thought initially that only one version eXtreme Edition would emerge, it is now called Core i7-980X, clocked at 3.33 GHz. With a rate of $ 999, this CPU has not really been "popular" and only a few (rich) geeks could get one.

Fortunately, we've learned a few weeks ago that Intel was preparing a Core i7-970 3.2GHz. Sold $ 562 (per 1000 units & duty free), it will be much more accessible, although it cannot yet talk a great price ...The bad news is that Intel does not seem to want to offer a full range of Gulftown, and therefore less expensive versions.
In reality, this generation of hexa-core CPU should come into being only in a total of three references, the two models mentioned above, and a future Core i7-990X.

According to reports, revealing its existence, this processor would come out in 2011, along with the next generation of midrange CPU "Sandy Bridge". No further details about it has filtered out yet, but this information points to a rather disturbing fact, that Intel apparently does not consider that AMD cannot return the premium in coming months ... It also admitted the fact that currently, the actual use of six cores are virtually nonexistent for general public anyway.
