It seems Asus Company became involved creating high-performance graphics cards on ATI chips series of Cypress. Most recently, the manufacturer showed the model TOP Radeon HD 5870 and Radeon HD 5850 DirectCU, but now a source tells the imminent release of another video card Asus Series Matrix. The new model will be made on the basis of the GPU Radeon HD 5870 and will proudly wear the brand ROG (Republic of Gamers). It will have 1,600 universal processors, 256-bit memory interface, GPU frequency of 900MHz (The reference frequency 850MGts), 2GB GDDR5 memory at a frequency of 4900 MHz (The reference ─ 4800MGts), will support DirectX 11 and CrossFireX, will have connectors DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort, as well as two 8-pin power connector PCIe (in reference model has only two 6-pin).
Video Matrix HD 5870 also has contact pads to measure voltage, equipped with a button that returns the card to the "safe" frequency if the acceleration is not as it should, has a non-reference dual-slot cooler with a fan, probably with a pulse-width modulation as well as a good, big skid plate.
Price and timing of the video card on the European market is not yet known, so that fans of gaming and enthusiasts will have to wait a bit More.
